Welcome to
Pring Portrait Art!
What is Portrait Art?
My Portrait Art begins with a photographic image created during a personal photo session on location
or at my in-home studio. I then transform your selected image into portrait art by applying brush strokes with a
stylus and a computer instead of a brush and traditional oil paints. The result is a beautiful and accurate rendition
of the subject printed on artist’s stretcher canvas.
What is a Portrait Consultation?
The portrait consultation gives us the opportunity to meet and discuss your desires for your finished portrait. During
this face-to-face meeting, we determine the setting for your portrait, which can be indoor, outdoor, on location or in
the studio. We also talk about clothing selection and how formal or casual you prefer the posing. This is also a chance
for us to get to know one another, which is very helpful for children who will be photographed.
How long is the portrait session?
Most sessions will be completed in less than an hour. Unlike a traditional portrait session where backgrounds and props
are changed frequently, this session will focus on creating the image we discussed in your consultation. Therefore, your
child will not need to change clothes and any props that are used will only be changed if necessary to keep your child’s
interest. Complicated setups on location may require slightly more time.

Who selects the image to be painted?
You will select the image you wish to be painted.
I will show you six to ten images from your session
that I think will work best. I am happy to provide
artistic input and helpful suggestions to ensure a
successful piece. The selection process is done at my
studio where I can project your images at full size to
give you a good idea of how the finished image will
appear on your wall.
How does the
process work?
After you have selected the image to be painted, I will
begin transforming the photographic image into a paint-
ed piece of art. You will have an opportunity to view an
artist’s proof and provide feedback prior to the finished
portrait being printed.
Why is 16x20
the minimum size that can
be
ordered?
At the smaller sizes, the painted effect is diminished or
lost all together. My goal is to create a piece of art that
works as wall décor in your home.
What are your fees?
Portraits start at $875 and include your consultation, portrait session, and unframed 16x20 painted portrait printed on artist’s
stretcher canvas. Prices may vary depending on the number of subjects or location of the session. Duplicate 16x20 prints of
your portrait can be purchased for a significant discount and are popular as a gift for grandparents or for vacation homes.

Do you offer framing?
Yes. I am happy to offer a complete collection of wall frames
at affordable prices so you can immediately hang your Portrait
Art when you bring it home.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Simply call me at (303) 494-4723 so we can schedule a
consultation. Once we discuss the location and setting for your
portrait, we can determine the best time of day to schedule
your session.
